About

He was born in Egypt in 1929. He earned a bachelor degree in Accounting in 1949 and a Masters degree in Business Administration in 1966 from Ain Shams University in Cairo. He taught accounting for the Advanced School of Commerce at the former British Institute of Business in Cairo. He also held key accounting and management positions, as a financial director sector organization in Cairo, before immigrating to the U.S.A in 1972.

He worked in L.A. County, holding several positions in the departments of Registrar-Recorder, Auditor-Controller and Assessor’s Office.

He earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant and joined major consulting firms in Los Angeles and San Jose prior to his retirement in 1997. He served at Holy Virgin Mary church in L.A. since its inception in 1974 in various capacities.

Since 1997 he has been assisting in financial and administration matters for the Diocese of L.A. He was ordained as Deacon Stephen by H.G. Bishop Serapion on August 30th, 1998, as Presbyter on May 31st, 2004. He served as a general priest and continues to assist in financial matters of the diocese. He served at Saint Mark in Honolulu, Hawaii for over two years and for one year at Saint John the Baptist Church in Oxnard. Currently, he serves at Holy Virgin Mary Church in Los Angeles.
